CHESTNUT HILL, MASS – Boston College took down North Carolina 3-1 in the first game of a Friday afternoon doubleheader. The Eagles improve their record to 16-11 and get their first ACC win of the season to go to 1-3 in the conference while Carolina goes to 11-21 on the season and 1-6 in the ACC.
Both teams started slow to start the day with no runs through the first two innings. In the top of the third, UNC finally managed to get on the board with a 1-0 lead. But BC quickly responded in the bottom of the third scoring three runs on a hit from Hannah Slike to bring Maddy Carpe home and a hit from Kamryn Warman to send Nicole Giery and Slike in for the scores.
