CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- The Boston College swim and dive team opened their 2019-20 season with a dominant performance at the annual Northeast Catholic Invitational. The men's team topped seven other opponents, racking up 1,193 points while the women's team defeated six teams with 1,280 points in the two-day opening meet at the new Margot Connell Recreation Center. As a team, the Eagles combined to set 18 different NECI records.

- Zach Szmania finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:41.85, which now ranks seventh all-time at BC.
