WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Boston College women's soccer team battled Wake Forest into overtime on Thursday afternoon, but the two ACC rivals ultimately played to a 1-1 tie at Spry Stadium.
After a scoreless first half that saw goalkeeper Allie Augur make three saves, Sam Smith slotted home her fifth goal of the season in the 85th minute. Wake Forest was able to find an equalizer in the 89th minute.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the extra time, with both Augur and Wake Forest's Kaitlyn Parks making two stops, but the teams played to the second consecutive tie in the series.
