CHESTNUT HILL,Mass. - Boston College defeated Virginia Tech in three clean sets by scores of 25-19, 25-19, and 25-17.
The Eagles battled point for point in the first set. The Hokies stayed within three until a 3-0 run by the Eagles opened up the lead to 15-10. Julia Haggerty led the Eagles with three blocks in the first set including one solo block.
The second set was all Boston College. The Eagles opened up the set taking a commanding 9-2 lead. The set was won on a Halle Schroder kill; 25-19.
