CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Competing without its No. 1 player Yufei Long, Boston College dominated singles play to snap Houston's six-match winning streak by a 5-2 final on Friday afternoon at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
The Eagles collected their 12th win of the season, improving to 12-7 (2-7 ACC), while the Cougars (11-5) suffered just their fifth loss of the season.
"We played hard in doubles but need to make better shot choices at times, I thought Houston competed very hard played well," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "The team rallied in singles though, we had to really focus and fight.
