COVENTRY, Conn. -- The Boston College women's rowing team claimed victory in four-of-five races this Thursday morning against Holy Cross and the hosting University of Connecticut on the waters of Coventry Lake.
BC's 3V8 boat got the morning started with a dominant win over the Huskies with a time of 7:12.5 - besting UConn's time (7:39.8) by over 27 seconds.
The 1V8 race for the Irving-Christensen Cup followed in another strong performance from the Eagles. BC's 1V8 recorded the only sub-seven minute time of the day, clocking in at 6:54.1 to secure the cup for a fifth-straight year.
