WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Boston College defeated George Washington University with a 4-1 victory at the GW Softball Field, Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles had nine hits on 31 at bats including three doubles and two stolen bases.
The Eagles scoring took place early. Freshman Emma Jackson singled to shortstop, and moved to second on a stolen base. Jackson advanced to third on a wild pitch. A Hannah Slike double ran Jackson through home plate.
With two outs in the second inning and runners on first and second a Nicole Giery single brought Zoe Hines through the plate.
