CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College lacrosse pushed past Penn in the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 9-7 victory at the Newton Lacrosse Field on Sunday afternoon.
Boston College will play Notre Dame in the quarterfinals next Thursday with a time to be determined. The Eagles are now 17-3 on the season after their 11th straight win.
It was a solid defensive performance for BC, holding a Penn squad that came into the game averaging 14 goals a game to just seven. It's the fourth straight opponent BC has held to less than 10 goals.
