NEWTON, Mass. – Behind stellar goalkeeping by Sarah Dwyer, the Boston College field hockey team defeated cross-town rival Harvard, 1-0, at the Newton Field Hockey Complex on Thursday night.
In a defensive showdown, Dwyer made three saves and giving up no goals in 60 minutes in net to held the Eagles win. Brigid Wood scored the lone goal of the game, while Fusine Govaert tallied an assist on the goal.
It was a game that was primarily played in the middle of the field, as BC only totaled seven shots and Harvard six.
