As sophomore running back Marcus Outlow celebrated a long touchdown run in the endzone, there were two noticeable groans coming from the sidelines.
The first belonged to fiery defensive coordinator Don Brown, whose raised voice pierced through the suffocating humidity of yet another hot, muggy August practice day at Boston College. Further down the sidelines to Brown’s left, Sean Duggan laid claim to the second groan, his fists clenched and lips thinned.
As an Eagle defender walked off the field with his head down, Duggan was the first to greet him.
