NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Boston College softball team completed the series sweep of Virginia with a 3-0 victory over the Cavaliers on Saturday to improve to 3-3 in the conference. Senior Jessica Dreswick shut-out the Virginia lineup, holding the batters to only three hits and two walks while striking out three in her seven innings pitched.
The Maroon and Gold jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when senior Chloe Sharabba led off the game with a double. She advanced one base on a sacrifice bunt by junior Lexi DiEmmanuele and scored on a throwing error.
