BOSTON – Led by 30 saves from Eric Dop and goals from four different players, Boston College opened a weekend home-and-home series with a convincing 4-1 Hockey East victory over No. 13 Northeastern on Friday night at Matthews Arena.
The Eagles (11-15-5, 6-10-3 HEA) improved to 6-1-0 in their last seven visits to Matthews and clinched the three-game regular season series with the Huskies (19-10-1, 10-7-1 HEA).
Colby Ambrosio posted a goal and an assist for a multi-point night, while Marc McLaughlin netted his league-high 19th of the year in his first game back from the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
