BRIGHTON, Mass. – Freshman tossed a one-hitter with a career-high 11 strikeouts to lead Boston College (13-23) past Fairfield (17-14), 4-0, at the Harrington Athletics Village on Wednesday in a non-conference game.
Dolby, a native of Virginia, gave up one hit in the fourth inning and struck out 11 batters on her way to her eighth win of the season. She had six strikeouts through the first three innings.
Senior had two hits with a season-high three stolen bases, while freshman went 2-for-3 at the plate. Freshmen and each had an RBI in the win.
BC took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning as knocked in the run with a bases loaded infield ground ball.
