Demko, Meehan Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior goalkeeper Thatcher Demko (men's hockey) and junior forward McKenzie Meehan (women's soccer) have been named Eagles of the Week.

Demko was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Eagles get off to their best defensive start in program history. He has not let a puck cross Boston College's goal line in the last 196:58 of competition and is now the 21st goaltender in NCAA hockey history to have shutout three consecutive opponents. Demko is chasing Scott Clemmensen's record set during the 1997-98 season of keeping opponents scoreless for 254:23.
