CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College women's tennis team defeated Virginia Tech, 5-2, in Friday's ACC match at the Flynn Recreation Complex.
The Eagles (9-9, 4-6 ACC) won five singles matches. Junior Asiya Dair won her second straight singles match with a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 92 Francesca Fusinato.
Senior Lexi Borr also defeated a ranked opponent, going 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 against No. 104 Natalie Novotna.
Two other Eagles earned straight-set victories. Freshman Kylie Wilcox won 6-3, 6-1 in fourth singles. Senior Emily Safron took a 6-1, 6-2 fifth-singles victory.
