MONTREAL – Boston College men's hockey incoming freshman Cutter Gauthier matched the highest NHL draft pick in school history on Thursday night at the Bell Centre. Gauthier was selected with the fifth overall pick by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 NHL Draft, becoming the 22nd first round pick in program history
Gauthier joins two other Eagles who were selected fifth overall in the NHL Draft: Noah Hanifin (2015) and Bill Guerin (1989). The 6'3 left-shot forward became the fourth top-10 first round pick in school history along with Brian Leetch (ninth in 1986).
