MADISON, Wis. – David Cotton netted his first career hat trick as part of a four-point night on Saturday, but multiple Boston College comebacks fell just short in a 7-5 loss to Wisconsin at the Kohl Center. The Badgers move to 2-0-0 after sweeping the weekend from the Eagles (0-2-0).
After Sean Dhooghe gave Wisconsin the lead just 38 seconds into the game, Oliver Wahlstrom answered 42 seconds later with his first collegiate goal. Wahlstrom beat Jack Berry (28 saves) blocker side with a heavy wrist shot from the right circle with assists from Christopher Grando and Michael Kim.
