Boston College men’s hockey returned to action tonight for the first official game of their 2021-22 season. The Eagles faced the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the DCU Center in Worcester for the first game of the Ice Breaker tournament hosted by Holy Cross.
The Eagles got things started early, scoring under a minute into the game. Marshall Warren to a shot and Colby Ambrosio knocked it into net on the rebound to put BC up 1-0. The Eagles took that lead into intermission, thanks in no small part to 8 saves by BC goalie Eric Dop.
Patrick Giles put BC up 2-0 midway through the second period, shooting the puck on net in a beautiful unassisted play that went in off a deflection.
