Yesterday, Boston College announced that the field hockey team’s goalkeeping coach, Carolyn Cahill, is retiring after 14 season with the team. Coach Cahill has spent 18 years coaching with NCAA field hockey teams, working at Yale and Merrimack before joining the Eagles. Prior to her coaching career, Cahill was a 4 year starting goalkeeper at nearby Bentley College. Although she is retiring from NCAA coaching, Cahill will continue to work with club goalkeepers in the area as well as helping out with Milton Youth Field Hockey.
While at BC, Cahill helped Eagles’ goalkeepers to earn 2 All-America honors, 7 NFHCA All-Northeast Region honors, 4 All-ACC honors and an All-ACC Tournament honor.
