The Boston College women’s basketball team picked up a much needed win today, earning a 49-43 victory over Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets were 3rd in the ACC coming into tonight’s game, while BC has struggled in conference play and had only managed 1 ACC win prior to this afternoon.
This was a fairly evenly matched game across the board until the fourth quarter. The Eagles took a 5 point lead into halftime, only to be down by 4 heading into the final quarter of play. Both teams struggled to hit the basket early in the fourth, but the Eagles played extremely strong on defense and managed to hold Georgia Tech to just 2 points for the entire quarter, while eventually picking up offensively and grabbing 12 points of their own.
