CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Senior goaltender tied the NCAA career wins record for a goaltender as the No. 3 Boston College women's hockey team posted a 5-0 win over No. 10 Providence on Friday night at Kelley Rink.
Burt made 25 saves to post her 114th career win, matching former Minnesota goaltender Noora Raty '14. Tonight was also Burt's 34th career shutout, which ranks fourth in NCAA history.
After a scoreless first period in which Boston College (23-2-3, 16-1-3 HEA) out-shot Providence (14-8-6, 10-4-4 HEA) by an 8-5 margin, the Friars came out in the second period and pushed the tempo and pumped in 12 shots to BC's 10.
