JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Sean Burke became the first Boston College men's track student-athlete in two decades to qualify for the NCAA outdoor track & field championship, as he finished 10th in the 10,000m tonight at the NCAA East Preliminary round.
The senior clocked 29:04.51 to solidify his spot in the field of the national championship. The top 12 in each regional preliminary round advance to the NCAA Championship. The top 10 finishers crossed the line within 13 seconds of each other.
Burke will race at the NCAA Championship on Wednesday, June 5 at Mike A.
