The Carolina Hurricanes announced on Thursday that they have signed Brian Gibbons to a one-year, two-way contract worth $725,000 at the NHL-level for the upcoming season.
Gibbons recorded 19 points (8g, 11a) in 64 games during the 2018-2019 season, and was traded from the Anaheim Ducks to the Ottawa Senators on February 25.
In 189 career NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, and Ottawa Senators, he has recorded 67 points (25g, 42a). In 329 career AHL games, he has registered 160 points (55g, 105a).
Gibbons graduated from BC in 2011 after playing four seasons, where he won the National Championship twice (2008 and 2010).
