BREAKING: Brendan Buckley to Join Boston College Men’s Ice Hockey Coaching Staff

Sources have told BC Interruption that Brendan Buckley will soon be joining the men’s hockey team’s coaching staff. Buckley, who had been serving under Mike Cavanaugh at UConn, will be replacing Greg Brown, who was the associate head coach for the Eagles before recently taking a position with the New York Rangers.

Buckley was part of Jerry York’s first recruiting class in 1995 and was a four year member of the Eagles, serving as a captain in his senior season. A 5th round draft pick by the then Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Buckley spent a long professional career playing in the AHL and parts of Europe before finally retiring in 2011 after a season in Italy.
