BREAKING: Boston College vs. Boise State Game Cancelled After Less Than One Quarter

Never-ending lightning delays forced the cancellation of today’s Servpro First Responders Bowl game between Boston College and Boise State in Dallas after less than one quarter of play.

As you can see from the tweet, the game has been ruled a no-contest, with stats being thrown out, as the game did not reach “official” time. The Eagles were leading Boise State by a score of 7-0 with 5:08 remaining in the first quarter.

The game was initially delayed by lighting in the area, and each successive lightning strike within a 10 mile radius pushed the restart back another 40 minutes (30 minute wait plus 10 minute warmup).
