At 3-0 (1-0 ACC) and at 23rd in the AP Football Poll after a 41-34 win over Wake Forest, Boston College football is now nationally ranked for the first time since November 30th, 2008.
The Eagles’ extended absence from the rankings came after a Dominique Davis-led Boston College team fell to Virginia Tech in the 2008 ACC Championship Game under head coach Jeff Jagodzinski. BC dropped out of the poll from 18th, Frank Spaziani was promoted to head coach the following season, and the Eagles have not been ranked since.
But the little number next to “Boston College” is back!
