PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Boston College baseball team rallied from a two-run deficit in the ninth inning to defeat Rutgers, 11-6, on Sunday afternoon at the final game of the Snowbird Classic. The Eagles (3-3) scored seven runs in the final frame to leave Port Charlotte, Fla., with a victory.
Sophomore Brian Dempsey had a career day, tying a career high with four hits and setting a new personal best with three RBIs. He has a hit in five of the six games in 2018. Junior Jake Alu was 4-for-5, also tying a career-high hit total, while freshman Chris Galland tallied two hits, including a double, with two RBIs in his first career start.
