On Sunday afternoon, the Boston College women’s lacrosse team set out to defend their 2023 ACC title, facing off against the Syracuse Orange for the 2024 ACC Championship. Despite an early deficit, the Eagles rallied against the Orange and earned their second conference title in a row by a score of 15-8.
It wasn’t a good start for BC in this game, as Syracuse scored five of the first six goals and just wouldn’t let BC control possession. Shea Dolce stood as strong as she could manage in net, but the Orange offense got going early and the Eagles defense was getting penalized and they were allowing a lot of inside passing that led to scores.
