After a pair of surprising losses on the road last week, the Boston College women’s basketball team got back into the swing of things tonight, defeating URI at Conte Forum by a score of 66-55.
The Eagles won by dominating scoring in the first half, outscoring the Rams 19-6 in the first quarter and 20-17 in the second quarter. The Rams outscored the Eagles in both the third and fourth quarters, but not by enough to catch up. Boston College head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee described it as “as game of highs and lows” for the Eagles.
The Eagles were led by Georgia Pineau, who picked up 13 points, 2 blocks, and 7 rebounds, despite the fact that she is still under the weather.
