CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Boston College baseball team was walked off in the 10th inning, a 10-9 loss, to Austin Peay at Raymond C. Hand Park on Saturday. The Eagles and Governors are each 1-1 on the season.
Austin Peay strung together three straight two-out singles in the ninth to tie the game. In the 10th, the Governors loaded the bases with one out and got the win with a walk to right fielder Gino Avros.
The Eagles ran up an 8-0 lead through the middle of the fifth; scoring in four of five innings and five of six when ahead 9-4.
