The GAA confirms the Croke Park Classic won't be happening next season
According to various Irish media reports, including this one from The42.ie, the Gaelic Athletic Association has pulled the plug on the proposed Boston College vs. Georgia Tech Croke Park Classic football game, originally rumored to be held next fall, possibly as the first game of the 2016 college football season.
In the GAA's official statement, they said that the increasing strength of the U.S. dollar relative to the euro made the game financially unfeasible without support from government agencies, which was not forthcoming.
