The Boston College volleyball team started ACC play in a big way tonight, defeating Clemson in a nail-biting 3-1 match. Amaka Chukwujekwu led all players with 9 blocks tonight, and Jewel Strawberry led the Eagles with 18 kills, 1 ace, and 11 digs.
Boston College lost the first set of the day, dropping to Clemson by a score of 25-20 despite a late comeback attempt. The Eagles won the second set by a score of 25-21, the third set by a score of 25-22, and snuck out a 25-23 win in the fourth and final set.
Last season BC went 1-1 against Clemson, defeating the Tigers 3-0 to open ACC play, and losing 3-2 to end the season.
