Martin Jarmond has named Michael Stephens head coach of men's and women's swimming and diving at BC. Stephens will the youngest Division 1 swimming and diving head coach in a Power Five conference at 26 years old. He is a Double Eagle (Bachelors and MBA) and swam at BC as an undergrad. Stephens has been an assistant coach for the team since 2013 and was named interim head coach in 2016. He takes over from Tom Groden, who resigned in the middle of the 2015-16 season after coaching BC for 45 years.
Stephens takes over a program that has been at the center of some controversy in recent years.
