In its ACC opener, Boston College was able to score a game winning goal with only a minute and a half to play, allowing them to top the Clemson Tigers. Callum Johnson got the scoring started in the 20th minute off of a pretty give-and-go with Simon Enstrom, which was the first goal that Clemson had conceded in four games. The scoreline would remain 1-0 BC until after halftime, when Clemson’s Malick Mbaye earned and finished a penalty kick to bring the score level again. The Tigers would then take the lead on a goal off a corner kick where the Eagles’ defense allowed the ball to bounce around in the box without clearing it.
