While the last midweek non-conference tuneup resulted in a worrisome 0-0 draw against Merrimack, this week’s mid-week matchup against Northeastern solicited no such worries from the BC fanbase.
The Eagles downed the Northeastern Huskies 3-0 in Newton Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles were held scoreless in the first half, but in the span of three minutes in the second half the tenor of the game greatly changed.
It started with a forced turnover by Lasse Lehman, who sent a ball to Joe Kellet who passed it to Jesus Sahagun. In the 53rd minute, Sahagun crossed a ball over to Stefan Sigurdarson who headed a ball into the net, giving the Eagles the 1-0 lead.
