Boston College Men’s Hockey Team Defeats Vermont 4-1

The Boston College men’s hockey team completed their weekend sweep of Vermont in dominant fashion on Saturday night, blowing out the Catamounts XXXX. After a few games where the depth scoring helped lead the Eagles to victory, it was the big names who came through in this one, with Andre Gasseau, Ryan Leoanrd, and Teddy Stiga all finding the back of the net.

The Eagles got on the board first in this one, scoring a shorthanded goal almost exactly halfway through the opening period. After Ryan Leonard was whistled for a holding penalty, BC was able to kill off almost the entire Vermont power play before Teddy Stiga found himself on a breakaway following a turnover near center ice.
