The Boston College men’s hockey team skated to a 1-1 tie with UNH tonight before “winning” in the shootout for the Hockey East boost (the game officially goes down as a tie).
The Eagles were playing with a very shortened bench, as they remaining without an injured Oskar Jellvik, have Brady Berard and Teddy Stiga out with short term injuries, and lost Andre Gasseau to a suspension following a slewfoot last night.
The teams played a fairly even first period and went into intermission tied at 0. UNH was able to break through in the second period, getting a goal past Jacob Fowler where the puck managed to sneak through him.
