Boston College Men’s Hockey Falls to Northeastern 3-1

The Boston College men’s hockey team was eliminated from the Hockey East Tournament on Saturday night, falling 3-1 to Northeastern in the quarterfinal matchup, The Eagles had chances all night and didn’t play poorly on the whole, but Northeastern goalie Cameron Whitehead was the best player on the ice and the Huskies managed to convert on their chances to advance to the semifinals.

The two teams played an entertaining yet scoreless first 20 minutes, with BC looking crisp and dangerous pretty much throughout. The Eagles spent a lot of time in the offensive zone and all four lines generated some chances, but they weren’t able to get on the board thanks to a strong period from Northeastern goalies Cameron Whitehead.
