Boston College men’s defeated UConn in overtime today, playing a tough game to come away with a 2-1 win.
The Eagles scored first, taking a 1-0 lead early in the first period when Teddy Stiga took a great bounce for a goal. BC took that 1-0 lead into intermission, but then started to struggle a bit and UConn tied the game with a shorthanded goal in the second period.
Neither team was able to score in the remainder of regulation, despite UConn getting a big power play thanks to Drew Fortescue getting kicked out of the game.
