For the third time this season, the Boston College men’s hockey team allowed seven goals and were blown off the ice, as the Eagles were embarrassed in a 7-2 loss to the Maine Black Bears.
Julius Mattila was unable to suit up, so JD Dudek took his place as first line center between David Cotton and Logan Hutsko while Ryan Edquist got the start in net. After some solid early play from BC that saw them have the better of the first handful of chances, the Black Bears managed to get on the board first. Edquist was beaten after a play from behind the net resulted in the puck rolling to an uncovered Maine player on Edquist’s far post with half the net to shoot at.
