After signing an amateur tryout agreement a couple of weeks ago with the Ottawa Senators organization, Colin White has now signed an entry-level deal with the parent-club, the Senators announced Sunday afternoon.
Preceding his signing the amateur tryout agreement, there were reports coming from the White camp about his dissatisfaction in signing an amateur level deal, while the Senators were looking towards potentially preserving a year on his eventual entry-level NHL contract.
Amidst a tight race in the Atlantic Division for the division’s playoff spots—and amidst a four game losing streak for the Senators— the NHL club appears willing to burn that year off his contract.
