Chris Calnan has left the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder and is exploring his options to play in Europe, a source close to the Boston College men’s hockey alumnus confirmed to BC Interruption Saturday evening.
Calnan, a former BC captain, had played at the Adirondack Thunder, an ECHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, for half of the year following his graduation from Boston College. Calnan spent much of the year sidelined with injury, only appearing in five games.
The ECHL announced Saturday evening in a press release that Calnan had retired. However, a source close to Calnan confirmed to BC Interruption Saturday night that he will continue his career in Europe.
