CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – What started as a promising game for Boston College’s young squad quickly turned into the Michael Young show after the half, as he scored 19 of his 30 points post-intermission and led Pitt to the 83-72 win.
Boston College led by as much as 8 in the first half behind Mo Jeffers in the post and a balanced scoring attack. The score was 25-17 in favor of BC with about 9 minutes left in the game.
Pitt also lost the ACC’s leading scorer, Jamal Artis, to a leg injury on the first play of the game, and although he returned in the 1st half, he was a non-factor for much of the game.
