According to Mike McMahon on Twitter, Boston College freshman defenseman Tim Lovell has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Entering the transfer portal doesn’t necessarily guarantee that a player leaves the school. Lovell is a freshman who missed some of this season to injury and got little playing time in general. So while he may be frustrated at his collegiate start, Coach York may be able to convince Lovell to stay with more playing time and the promise of offseason development with one of the best staffs in NCAA hockey. Lovell only recorded 2 assists & no goals in his first year at Boston College, so it would be interesting to see which programs may take an interest in him.
