It takes a special kind of athlete to play at Boston College. Ask any fan, coach or administrator and they will tell you that the types of players that BC looks for are good players that are willing to put in the work to become great.
There are a lot of players that came to mind that embodied those characteristics. Ryan Edquist, Darius Wade, Michael Kim and Zachary Allen all received votes for BCI’s award for Male Athlete that Most Embodies What it Means to be a BC Eagle.
However, the player that ultimately won is tight end Tommy Sweeney, a rising senior on the Boston College Eagles’ football team.
