SOUTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. – The Boston College baseball team edged Rhode Island for a 2-1 win at Bill Beck Field on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles improved to 23-24 on the season, while the Rams fell to 18-23.
The game was tied heading to the ninth and junior center fielder Dante Baldelli (Cumberland, R.I.) reached on a one-out error. He raced home with the go-ahead run on a double into the left field corner off the bat of senior third baseman Jake Alu (Hamilton, N.J.) a batter later.
