PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Boston College opened the match by grinding out the doubles point, but Brown took over in singles for a 4-3 non-conference victory on Tuesday night at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The loss drops the Eagles' record to 2-6 (0-3 ACC).
Javi Amantegui and Max Mendelsohn began the match by winning their third doubles matchup 6-3. Brown tied it at second doubles, but the No. 1 pairing of Derek Austin and Sean Mullins pulled out a 7-6 (5) decision to clinch the first point.
