CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Junior pitcher Peyton Schnackenberg won her first career game at Boston College as the Eagles rolled to a 9-1 victory over UMass Lowell Wednesday afternoon at Harrington Athletics Village.
BC (5-7) won its third straight game and remained undefeated in five all-time meetings against UMass Lowell (2-3).
Schnackenberg (1-0) held the River Hawks to just one run on four hits and struck out four in her first start of the year.
BC got on the board first with a two-out rocket off the bat of Nicole Giery to drive in Djhane Valido for the 1-0 lead.
