Boston College Completes Season-Opening Sweep

Box Score MT. PLEASANT, S.C. – The Boston College baseball team completed a sweep of Charleston Southern at Shipyard Park with a 10-2 win on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles head home with a 3-0 record, while the Buccaneers start the year 0-3.

BC scored double digit runs for the third time this weekend. Junior left fielder and leadoff hitter Chris Galland (Sudbury, Mass.) went 1-for-3 with two walks, three runs and a stolen base.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Joe Vetrano (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) started the game for two innings before handing the ball off to graduate RHP Alex Stiegler (Dallas, Texas).
