Boston College baseball dominates Charleston Southern in doubleheader to open season

The Boston College baseball team comes into this season with NCAA tournament hopes and expectations, and they looked the part of a contender today, sweeping Charleston Southern in dominant fashion in a doubleheader to open up their 2021 season.

In game 2, Emmet Sheehan tossed six shutout innings and BC jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning 12-1.

In the early game, BC won 12-4. Mason Pelio picked up the win, throwing five shutout innings. At the plate, BC hit four home runs, tying a program high in a season opener. Dante Baldelli had two homers, while Cody Morisette and Peter Burns also went yard.
